Het heeft even geduurd, maar vanaf nu is streamingdienst Spotify ook beschikbaar in Rusland en twaalf omringende landen. Dat betekent miljoenen nieuwe potentiële luisteraars en 200 nieuwe officiële Spotify-playlists.
Door de uitbreiding naar o.a. Rusland, Kroatië, Servië, Montenegro en Albanië is Spotify nu beschikbaar in 92 landen. De dienst heeft op dit moment ongeveer 286 miljoen gebruikers, maar met een snelgroeiende streamingmarkt in Rusland zou dat aantal snel kunnen stijgen.
